Director Jerri Weathers will provide a tour of the Juvenile Enforcement Center that houses the majority of the Juvenile Justice Division’s intervention programs. The Enforcement Center is also the home of Eugene Gregory Memorial Youth Academy.
We will be given an overview of all of the programs in the Juvenile Justice Division. This includes everything from intervention programs for 5–18-year-old children, to housing juveniles in our Detention Center, to assisting children as they reintegrate into the community once released from a program. There are a number ofbehavioral and mental health programs.
Additionally, we will have the opportunity to hear from Captain Fortenberry, who oversees our School Safety Division so that we can learn about the amazing work that he and his team do to secure the safety of our children in their schools.
